Best Prebuilt Gaming PC Under 1500

You set aside money and search for the best-prebuilt gaming PC for under $ 1500. What to do, whether to build a gaming PC by buying individual components of your choice and assembling them in a home environment? Or take an already built PC that you can almost find in a supermarket?

Your discerning eye will not miss that the prices of individual components, primarily processors and graphics cards, have risen.

A year ago, I advised you not to think much. The goal of each gamer is to select individual computer components and peripherals according to their quality and characteristics. Based on this choice, you assemble the desired gaming computer. Such a built-in gaming PC will provide the performance you want.

In addition, you will learn a lot about the architecture and components of a computer system. You will know how the parts are interconnected and compatible and how to get the most out of them.

Now, unfortunately, isn’t the time for the option of building your computer at home. I have explained the reasons for the increase in the price and shortage of computer components, primarily graphics cards.

Buying a prebuilt gaming PC remains, but you must also be careful what the manufacturer offers. Ideally, the offer should be uniform in terms of the quality of the installed components. For example, a decent graphics card is built-in. Still, the motherboard is low quality; the memory is slow; the power supply unit is weak for future expansion, etc.

To prevent this scenario from happening and catching your head after the purchase, I will give you a few recommendations on choosing the best-prebuilt gaming PC for your money.

Essential features

Thermaltake (TT) has long been a well-known brand dedicated from the beginning to better cooling your computer through various quality products. So, with such a long experience, let’s see what TT has to offer with Graphite 360 Gaming PC.

TT packed its vision of a gaming PC under $ 1500 into its S100 TG Black case with a tempered glass side. The case looks quite solid, with a minimalist design that will fit nicely into your interior. The case comes with three 120 mm ARGB fans, one on the back and two on the top of the case.

Inside the case, we find the mATX B550 motherboard, an excellent six-core Ryzen 5 5600X processor, 16 GB RGB DDR4 memory at 3200Mhz, 1TB NVMe SSD, and NVidia GeForce RTX 3060 graphics card with 12GB DDR6.

The TT 700W PSU with Gold 80+ certification is in charge of the power supply. The power supply unit is separated by a cover at the bottom to not overheat during intense gaming. You have enough space available for future expansion, so there is no mistake with this case.

The graphics card is  RTX 3060 (VR, DX 12, and Ray Tracing support). This mainstream card provides its maximum in games in 1080p and 1440p resolutions. If you want 4K, you must reduce the details because this is not a card for that resolution.

You may expect over 60 fps in 1080p at ultra settings (DX12) in AAA titles like Borderlands 3, Metro Exodus, Assasin’s Creed Walhalla, The Division 2, etc.

Everything is well-weighted and set up with Windows 64-bit Home preinstalled.

The only real drawback may be the availability of this configuration or the price variation, depending on the market situation.

Advantages

  • Graphite 360 is an excellent prebuilt PC with quality components.
  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 with 12GB DDR6
  • Excellent performance in 1080p and 144op
  • Good cooling with ARGB fans
  • Case TT S100 TG Black is suitable for future upgrades,
  • Good cable management
  • Preinstalled Windows 10 Home 64-bit

Disadvantages

  • A little noisier under load
  • There’s no HDD to store your data, videos, and music.

Summary

Thermaltake has done a great job and created a gaming configuration that you will be happy with for a long time. Maybe we should look for a flaw in a better cooler for the processor or a better motherboard for overclocking, but this is a top offer compared to the competition.

I warmly recommend it if you manage to find it in stock and at a price below $ 1500 when I wrote this article.

It’s strong enough that you can easily play everything with ultra settings in 1080p resolution. You can also expect excellent performance with moderate detail in 1440p and 4K resolution.

Essential features

CYBERPOWERPC offered a great configuration packed into a beautifully designed black case with 4 RGB fans. On the front of the case, there is tempered glass behind which we see three RGB fans. A transparent side of tempered glass covers the inside of the case. The case looks solid, although I prefer a mesh on the front instead of glass due to better air circulation.

We found a board with an Intel B560 chipset inside the case and installed a 6-core Core i5 11600KF processor. The suffix K means the processor has an unlocked multiplier, and F means the integrated graphics card is disabled. Great processor, but above all, you need to check the capabilities of the motherboard, memory, and CPU cooler before embarking on an OC adventure.

The graphics card is identical to the Thermaltake Graphite 360 Gaming PC, i.e., NVIDIA RTX 3060 with 12GB DDR6. Still, I’d rather see an RTX 3060 Ti here, but the price would go higher then. The memory comes in a sufficient amount of 16GB DDR4 (2x8GB 2666 shielded RAM modules), so there will be no problems for gaming. A higher module speed would be better, but these also run at 3000 MHz without issues.

A 500GB NVMe SSD is a built-in primary storage device, and a pleasant surprise is a 1TB HDD. The hard drive could have been even more extensive than at least 2TB because it wouldn’t burden the price too much. The power supply is 600W with 80+ Gold certification and will handle this configuration well.

Compared to the AMD 5600X, the 10600KF lags due to higher power consumption, lower efficiency, and higher heating. In gaming, both processors are close, so the choice of AMD or Intel is a matter of taste and preference.

Advantages

  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 with 12GB DDR6
  • Unlocked Intel CPU
  • Excellent performance in 1080p and 144op
  • Good cooling
  • Preinstalled Windows 11 Home
  • Affordable under $ 1500

Disadvantages

  • Small HDD
  • RAM can be faster
  • A bit louder under load

Summary

The Cyberpower offering, packaged in an attractive black case, has a very reasonable price when writing this article. The manufacturer has chosen suitable components for the average gamer who will not complain about the performance out of the box.

More advanced users who want more will invest in a better motherboard and CPU cooler. Steel, we have an exemplary gaming configuration that will not disappoint you even with the default components.

Essential features

SkyTech packed its configuration into an elegant Thermaltake H200 Snow Edition case with a transparent side of tempered glass.

At the top of the case, we have two RGB fans under the grille that also blow warm air out. There is also a filter with a magnet. At the back, there is an RGB fan that draws warm air. There is one RGB strip and one ordinary 120 mm fan for cold air intake on the front.

The motherboard occupies the central part of the case with the AMD B450 chipset and AMD Ryzen 5 3600 processor. Although this is a great processor, I would still like to see the Ryzen 5 5600 because the board with the BIOS update also supports the latest series of Ryzen processors.

A good choice is a discrete graphics card, NVIDIA RTX 3060 with 12GB GDDR6. In terms of performance, they are more or less the same as other PCs with the RTX 3060 in the configuration. So, all your favorite games like Call of Duty Warzone, Fortnite, League of Legends, Apex Legends, Roblox, Overwatch, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Battlefield V, Minecraft, The Division 2, and Cyberpunk 2077 run over 60 fps at High to Ultra settings in 1080p and 1440p.

A 1TB SSD is also built-in, but unfortunately, it is not an M.2 NVMe. Shielded DDR4 memory comes in 2x8GB 3000Mhz format, suitable for dual-channel.

The power supply is 600W 80+ Gold, enough for this configuration, upgrading, and possibly expanding the system.

Advantages

  • The motherboard supports 5th generation Ryzen processors
  • The processor and graphics card give excellent performance in 1080p and 1440p
  • The good looking and a pretty big case for future upgrade
  • Good Cooling
  • Keyboard and mouse
  • Preinstalled Windows 10 Home 64-bit

Disadvantage

  • Ordinary SATA SSD
  • There is no HDD to store your data, videos, and music.

Summary

SkyTech Archangel Prebuilt Gaming PC is packed in a pretty attractive case with a strong enough configuration to cope with everything you serve it in 1080p and 1440p.

I especially liked the motherboard, which has room to expand. I hope you get this one in your configuration.

The disadvantages include the installation of an older generation Ryzen processor and lacking a faster M.2 NVMe SSD. I wish most of these prebuilt PCs for games under $ 1,500 come with an HDD next to the SSD. A good solution is to purchase an external USB 3.0 drive of at least 2TB.

Essential features

iBUYPOWER has packaged its offer in the aesthetically appealing Element TR case. The front of the case is tempered glass made. There are three RGB fans on the front under the glass surface, but I’m not sure this is a good solution due to the low airflow. One RGB fan is in charge of expelling warm air from the housing.

Inside the case is a solid mATX board with an Intel B460 chipset and Core i7-11700F processor. The F designation suggests that integrated graphics in the processor are disabled, but that’s why there’s still a powerful discrete NVIDIA RTX 2060 graphics card with 6GB of DDR6.

The combination of this processor and graphics card will be enough for high and ultra graphics details in 1080p and decent work in 1440p. It would be better if the graphics had at least 8GB of memory, but for that variant, look at prebuilt computers in positions 1 to 3.

The standard for this price range is 16 GB of DDR4 memory. We have one 240GB SSD and a 1TB HDD from the storage space. A PSU powers all this with 600W and an 80+ Gold certificate.

Quite a decent configuration, but at this price, the competition is so intense that you can get a lot more for a little more money.

Advantages

  • The good looking and a pretty big case for future upgrade
  • The processor and graphics card give excellent performance in 1080p
  • Keyboard and mouse
  • Preinstalled Windows 10 Home 64-bit

Disadvantage

  • Ordinary and small SATA SSD
  • iBUYPOWER could install a larger HDD
  • The competition may have a better offer
  • Cooling can be better

Summary

iBUYPOWER has made an effort to assemble a qualitatively uniform prebuilt gaming computer for under $ 1500 per embedded component. I would gladly recommend this PC, but due to the higher price, iBuypower comes to the position that its competition is breathing down its neck with more exciting offers.

However, even if you opt for this prebuilt computer, its performance will not disappoint you. Everything will slide smoothly into 1080p. On ultra settings at 1080p, you can have frame rates around 60 for Borderlands 3, Cyberpunk 2077, Fortnite, PUBG, Counter-Strike, etc.

In 1440p, you will have to calculate the level of detail in the games, depending on the title. For 4K, though, bypass this computer.

Essential features

Dell delivers its gaming configuration in a relatively conservative and minimalist design that isn’t overly attractive to most gamers. The case construction works solidly and with high quality, but you will not find RGB fans here. There is one 80mm fan that is mounted on the back to expel warm air from the housing.

G5 motherboard is Dell signed (Intel chipset H470) and allows for a solid expansion and upgrade of the computer. The processor is a 10th-generation Core i7 10700F with an integrated graphics card disabled. Also, this model does not have an unlocked overclock multiplier, but it is powerful enough without it.

The graphics card is an OEM GTX 1660 Ti with 6GB of memory that will give you excellent performance in 1080p, medium detail in 1440p, and 4K to avoid.
Expect around 50 to 60 FPS in 1080p with ultra settings in newer AAA titles. It is a pity that Dell couldn’t include the RTX 2060 graphics card in this price if we are already looking for a significant complaint.

Dell opted for a fast 1TB NVMe SSD for the storage devices but lacked an HDD. The power supply unit is 500W and quite enough to handle the built-in components.

Advantages

  • Solid construction
  • The processor and graphics card give excellent performance in 1080p
  • Preinstalled Windows 10 Home 64-bit

Disadvantage

  • Mediocre design
  • No RGB fans
  • Cooling can be better
  • Fans get louder at heavy load

Summary

The Dell G5 is a classic example of what a big-name brand computer looks like in design and built-in components. The manufacturer focuses on the quality and compatibility of the installed components while the PC design is in the background.

You get a 2-year standard warranty while paying extra for three years if you are interested in being extra safe. There are no objections in work; the system is quiet until you burden G5 with challenging tasks when the fans become noticeably loud.

I recommend the computer because it is factory-made and tested. You get a good guarantee and excellent performance in games. The only complaint is that the RTX 2060 could have been included in this price and done for better cooling.

Conclusion

As you can see in this selection of the five best gaming prebuilt PCs below $ 1500, the prices and performance of the displayed gaming computers are pretty uniform. Another thing, most of the built-in components aren’t the latest but are older than a year, but such prebuilt computers can still cope with the latest AAA game titles.

I advise choosing prebuilt computers with the latest hardware, AMD Ryzen 5 5xxx, or Intel 11/12th series processors. From the graphics cards, make sure it’s the RTX 3060 in the first place, then the RTX 2060, and then the rest.

You can take everything said with a grain of salt because market opportunities are very dynamic, and prices and availability of computers change daily. I advise you not to hesitate and book your gaming PC on time. If your planned budget is a maximum of $ 1000 or less, check out the recommendation to buy the best-prebuilt gaming PC under $ 1000.

Of course, in the end, I recommend trying to build a gaming computer yourself because the process isn’t complicated, and you can learn a lot.

It pays to assemble a PC from individual components with a solid integrated graphics card under your direction. Please pay attention to such configurations that I can recommend below $ 500, $ 600, and $ 700.
