Rog Ryujin ii 360 Review
Today’s offer of closed water cooling systems (AIO) is very uniform, with honorable exceptions. Asus is a reputable company, and there’s a slight chance that you didn’t have or will have some of its products. Also, Asus paid particular attention to die-hard gamers through the ROG product line.
So, from laptops and prebuilt configurations to components exclusively for gamers, Asus also has included the AIO systems in the ROG line. Among the first AIOs was the ROG Ryujin series of water coolers, with an OLED screen, which proved to be a complete hit in terms of distinctive ROG design and performance. Thanks to the positive reactions, Asus has decided to improve the ROG Ryujin 360, and we have before us the latest release, which is logically called ROG Ryujin II 360.

First impression
The aluminum radiator is quite bulky, has an excellent finish, and comes in a black matte. Asus has imprinted the ROG mark on the metal on both sides, indicating that it belongs to the gaming product line.
Noctua fans come in an industrial PPC version. They are of exceptional quality and durability, so they will probably last longer without failures than the refrigerator.
Essential characteristics:
- diameter 120 mm, 450-2000 rpm,
- max airflow 121.8 m3/h,
- static pressure 38.6 Pa,
- noise 29.7 dB.
The package includes a ROG fan controller (a hub for fans) with a connector for ARGB lighting. The Asetek pump and Noctua fans never exceed 30 dB of noise, and you will not hear them in a closed housing.
The CPU block is high-quality and consists of a 7th-generation Asetek pump with a 3.5-inch full-color LCD screen. The diagonal of the screens on the previous models was “only” 1.8 inches, but as the competition began to install larger and larger color screens, Asus rolled up his sleeves and showed “who Dad was.”
It’s good that the screen is magnetically attached to the pump housing, and therefore it’s easy to remove, which simplifies the process of installing the block. You need to connect the LCD screen to the system board and the fan hub. A small fan is between the screen and the pump to speed up the cooling process.
Ryujin II 360 OLED screen
On Ryujin II 360 OLED screen, you can comfortably play a game without problems because it’s the largest ever implemented on some AIO cooling. Joke aside, this screen size is handy, and you can display all the essential health parameters of the system on it. It works with AIDA64 Extreme to display temperature, CPU speed, RAM, and other parameters as desired. As icing on the cake, Asus claims that you have a one-year subscription to AIDA 64 Extreme.
You can set AIDA64 parameters and any animation or image on the LCD screen from the Asus Armoury Crate application.
Performance
I tested the latest Core i9-12900K as the newest and strongest representative of Intel’s Alder Lake architecture. Since this processor consumes a lot and heats a lot, it was interesting to see how the Asus ROG Ryujin II 360 will cope with the new Intel hope.
Intel Core i9-12900K temperatures in popular games with Asus ROG Ryujin II 360
As the Intel Core i9-12900K with operating temperatures is dangerously close to 100° C, Ryujin II fought heroically and brought temperatures to acceptable limits in new and demanding games. So if you have decided to upgrade to the LGA 1700 platform and want to use Ryujin II, Asus will provide you with the necessary brackets for the new socket.
Conclusion
The biggest problem with purchasing an Asus Ryujin II 360 may be the price, deterring many. Alternatively, you can get cheaper AIO systems without an LCD screen. Also, Corsair, NZXT, and Gigabyte Aorus have great AIO models with smaller LCD screens and reasonable prices.
So, if you are looking for an AIO system that will provide you with high performance even with the most potent Alder Lake processors, has a large LCD screen, and comes with as much as a 6-year warranty, then look no further than the Asus ROG Ryujin II 360.
