Gaming PC NZXT H510 Elite
I suggest one great configuration for a gaming PC based on the attractive NZXT H510 Elite case. In addition to the PC case, I chose the NZXT motherboard, power supply, and water cooling, so you almost have a prebuilt NZXT PC.
Why NZXT?
The manufacturer has a long-standing good reputation thanks to quality PC components intended for gamers and PC-building enthusiasts. Regarding enclosures, the NZXT is always at the top regarding quality and design. The same applies to AIO water cooling systems, and recently the manufacturer decided to try to offer motherboards for AMD and Intel platforms (although in close cooperation with ASRock).
In addition to motherboards, NZXT also offers power supplies of excellent quality (in cooperation with Seasonic). Until recently, NZXT mostly worked on motherboards for the Intel platform, but the manufacturer decided to enrich its (not so big) offer with one AMD motherboard. It’s a model N7 B550 that you can get in black or white and black.

NZXT H510 Elite Case
Exterior
So, it’s a lovely case in black and white, with RGB lighting and a combination of metal, plastic, and tempered glass. The interior is painted in black, while a contrast between white and black dominates the outside. There is also a variant H510 Elite in black, but black and white seem much more effective.
RGB lighting comes from two built-in fans behind the tempered glass front panel. You can install up to 4x 120mm fans, and the case comes standard with two 140mm RGB fans at the front and one 120mm for hot air exhaust. The top of the case comes with the same connectors as the NZXT H1, so one USB 3 Gen2 Type-C and one USB 3 Gen1 port, a 3.5mm combo audio jack, and a power button.
Interior
The interior of the NZXT H510 Elite looks very clean, with a separate PSU chamber and hidden HDD trays. Like other H-series housings, this one has no space for optical drives. You can install full ATX motherboards but also micro ATX and mini ATX. The maximum graphics card length you can install is 380mm (15 inches).
Behind the motherboard is NZXT’s Smart Device 2, which controls the fan and RGB lighting. Smart Device 2 must work in combination with CAM software, a product of NXZT. The 3.5-inch bracket for two hard drives is located in the same PSU storage chamber. You can mount two 2.5-inch drives in the slots behind the motherboard.
Overall, the NZXT 510 Elite is excellent for every serious gamer. The black and white color combination works more effectively than the pure black color of the case. You get a beautiful midi case with tempered glass, RGB lighting, and a USB-C Gen2 port. If you want to go cheaper, NZXT offers models without a tempered glass front panel, such as the H510 or H510i.
NZXT N7 B550
In collaboration with ASRock, NZXT has released its first motherboard for AMD processors with the B550 chipset. The motherboard doesn’t have RGB implemented, but on the other hand, it fits perfectly with the NZXT cases from the X series.
Noteworthy options include PCIe 4.0, WiFi 6E, 6 SATA III ports, an excellent audio system with Realtek ALC1220 7.1 channel codec, a relatively rich I/O back panel, and the ability to work with the most potent Ryzen 9 5000 series processors.
The board has 4x PCIe slots, two full-length x16, and two x1 sizes. Under the cover are two M.2 slots to accommodate NVMe SSDs. Between the CPU socket and the upper PCIe slot is an M.2 slot 2280 for Gen4 NVMe SSDs. The second M.2 slot supports PCIe 3.0; if you plan to fill it, the board will shut down SATA ports 5 and 6.
Overall, the first NZXT board for the AMD platform is pretty successful in design and features. You already have entry-level models with an X570 chipset in this price range. Still, thanks to the rich equipment, installation of the fastest standard WiFi 6E wireless network, and integrated fan control system, N7 B550 seems a good choice.
In addition, the first NZXT AMD board comes with a rich range of USB connectors and a great design that will fit perfectly into the H series of cases. The only drawback (or advantage for some) may be the lack of RGB lighting, but everything else favors this great board.
NZXT Kraken Z63
NZXT is always at the top for AIO water cooling for processors in design and performance. The AIO Kraken series comes with an attractive CPU block. The X series has two RGB elements (logo and ring), while the Z has an OLED screen to display helpful information. All this you can set up via the famous CAM application from the comfort of your Windows environment.
The Kraken Z series comes in 280mm and 360mm, and we install the smaller one for the NZXT H510 Elite. According to the technical specifications, the Z and X models have no difference in performance. You will pay a higher price for the Z model only because of the possibilities offered by the OLED screen.
There are two Aer P 140mm fans on the radiator, and you can connect them in two ways. The first is over the motherboard, and the second is on the water block itself. I recommend connecting to the water block because the controller in the pump or NZXT’s CAM software will take care of the fan speed.
The CAM is free to use, and in addition to regulating AIO cooling, you can also use it to monitor other system parameters such as processor temperature or graphics card. You can download any GIF animation (max. 20 MB) via the CAM software and display it on the 2.36-inch OLED screen.
PSU NZXT C750
The NZXT C750 is, as the label says, a 750W power supply unit that will be sufficient for stronger graphics cards (unless you are looking for a dual-graphics system). It’s an entirely modular power supply unit with an 80 Plus Gold certificate, the same performance as the Seasonic Focus Gold 750W.
Seasonic is a profound manufacturer with a reputation so that you won’t have any problems with the C750 in terms of quality and performance. The cooling fan switches off at low loads, although you can switch off this function (to keep the fan running continuously regardless of the load).
The only drawback of the C750 may be the noise at higher loads or temperatures. Higher noise is due to the compact dimensions of the power supply itself, which should provide better cooling, but if noise bothers you, you can look at alternatives like Corsair RM 750x or Asus ROG Strix 750.
CPU AMD Ryzen 5 5600G
For this NZXT H510 Elite gaming PC based on the AMD platform, I suggest the excellent Ryzen 5 5600G. It’s a new Zen3 series of AMD APU processors with the fastest integrated graphics card compared to competing solutions.
The Ryzen 5 5600G is a 6-core processor that executes 12 threads at 3.9-4.4 GHz frequencies with an average power consumption of 65W. It will pair well with the Kraken Z63 AiO, with which there will be no high temperatures, even with overclocking.
The chosen processor is great because it’s good for gaming and demanding severe applications. Also, suppose you can’t find a discrete graphics card reasonably priced. The integrated RX Vega will be outstanding for casual gaming in 720p or 1080p, depending on the game titles.
RAM G.Skill Trident Z NEO 16GB
You should support Ryzen 5 performance with fast memory modules. I chose 16GB of DDR4 in dual channel mode running at 3600 MHz in this case. The choice fell on G.Skill Trident NEO RGB, one of the fastest RAMs for the Ryzen 5 5000 series processors, and the Dual Rank organization of memory chips. The integrated RX Vega will be incredibly grateful for more frames per second if you use it with higher-speed RAM.
Graphics card AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT 12 GB GDDR6
I recommend the Radeon RX 6700 XT with 12GB of GDDR6 memory for a mid-range graphics card. Unfortunately, due to the known situation with mining, it won’t be easy to find this or a stronger graphics card at the manufacturer’s recommended price. The basis of the AMD 6700 XT is the new Navi 22 graphics processor with RDNA 2 architecture.
The AMD GPU uses 40 ray tracing accelerators and 2560 stream processors. Although the memory bus width is only 192-bit, you will have excellent gaming performance in 1080p and 1440p. If you are looking for a graphics card with a 6700 XT graphics chip, apart from AMD, there are also slightly cheaper alternatives in the form of ASUS Dual AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT or XFX Speedster RX 6700 XT.
M.2 NVMe SSD Samsung 980 Pro 1 TB Gen4
The NZXT N7 B550 motherboard has two M.2 NVMe SSD slots, the first of which, along with the primary PCIe X16 slot, is in direct communication with the Ryzen CPU. This advantage means that the first M.2 slot supports a 4th generation (PCIe 4.0) 4x PCIe line bus. On the other hand, we have another M.2 slot, but it only supports PCIe 3.0.
To take advantage of the faster bus, insert a new generation PCIe NVMe Gen4 slot into the first M.2 slot. In this particular case, I suggest that it be Samsung 980 Pro with a throughput of 7000 MB/s and a capacity of 1 TB.
Performance
What can you expect from a gaming PC based around the NZXT H510 Elite? For this purpose, I tested several popular games. As you can imagine, this NZXT H510 Elite gaming PC provides excellent performance in 1080p and 1440p with ultra detail. At the same time, the graphics card got quite “sweaty,” with a maximum operating frequency of around 2.5 GHz and a temperature of over 85°C.
RX 6700 XT consumption at maximum load didn’t exceed 190W. Remember that the versions of graphics cards with three fans would have a lower temperature, but they are also more robust constructions than the AMD model. So, the gaming configuration has the following components from the NZXT: H510 Elite case, N7 B550 motherboard, C750 modular PSU, and AIO water cooling Kraken Z63. For the processor, I chose the excellent AMD Ryzen 5 5600G with an RX Vega integrated graphics card and a discrete RX 6700 XT graphics card with 12GB of GDDR6.
This NZXT H510 Elite-based gaming PC configuration is a quality and strong PC that will be enough for gaming in 1080p and 1440p with ultra detail. Of course, you can make variations on the components that I suggested. This way, you can fit the desired performance into your financial capabilities.
I chose the AMD Ryzen 5 5600G APU because it has the best-integrated graphics to serve you until you find the right discrete graphics card. If you compare this configuration with the results based on the Ryzen 7 58xx, you will see that there’s no difference in performance when it comes to gaming.
The RX 6700 XT is a great graphics card close to the RTX 3070 offers. Unfortunately, the graphics card carries most of the price of the NZXT gaming system. Still, I suggested a good gaming PC that will do well even in more serious business.
In the end, the recommendation remains, if you aren’t in a hurry or you are limited by a thin budget, wait for a better time to get a cheaper discrete graphics card. The Radeon RX Vega will serve you well during the transition period until you purchase a better discrete graphics card. Also, check out the compact version of the NZXT-H1 based gaming PC.
